Install help for the Windows Ctrl+Space tray overlay, plus billing, privacy, and sign-in. Install, sign in from the tray icon, and Anvyll registers Ctrl+Space. The target model only selects a prompting methodology.
How do I install Anvyll?
Download the Windows installer, run the setup, and sign in from the tray icon. Anvyll registers Ctrl+Space on first launch.
The hotkey does not open the overlay
Confirm Anvyll is running in the system tray and that no other app has claimed Ctrl+Space. Restart Anvyll after changing the hotkey in Settings.
Windows SmartScreen shows a warning
New Windows apps can trigger a SmartScreen notice ("Windows protected your PC") until they build up download reputation. Only run an installer you downloaded from anvyll.ai. Click More info and check that the file name is the Anvyll setup you just downloaded from anvyll.ai before choosing Run anyway. Never turn off SmartScreen or other Windows security features to install Anvyll. If anything looks different, stop and email support.
What does the installer do?
The setup installs the Anvyll desktop app for your Windows user account, adds Start menu and desktop shortcuts, registers the anvyll:// link (used to return to the app after signing in in your browser) and adds an uninstaller under Installed apps. Anvyll runs from the system tray and registers the Ctrl+Space hotkey on first launch; you can change it in Settings. The setup installs only Anvyll: no toolbars, browser extensions or other software, and it does not change your browser or search settings. Anvyll checks anvyll.ai for app updates.
How do I uninstall Anvyll?
Quit Anvyll from the tray icon, then open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Anvyll and choose Uninstall. To also remove your account and server-side data, use Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account in the app before uninstalling, or email support.
Billing, trial, and cancellation
Manage Unlimited under Settings → Billing. The Stripe customer portal opens from there to update payment methods or cancel at period end.
Export or delete my account
Settings → Privacy & data. Export downloads a JSON bundle of your account data. Deletion cancels active Stripe subscriptions and removes server-side rows; local vault data is cleared when you sign out after deletion.
Password recovery and sign-in
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. Recovery mail comes from noreply@anvyll.ai. Google sign-in uses the standard OAuth browser flow and returns to the app via loopback redirect.
Where is my prompt text stored?
Prompts, sessions, and projects are stored in a per-account vault on your own machine rather than in a server-side content database. Refining is a separate step: when you press Generate, the submitted prompt and any context you attached are sent to the Anvyll service, which calls the model and returns the result. Account, plan and credit records are kept apart from the text you refine.
